{Delbury Hall}

When choosing a location for your event or wedding, it is important for you to shop around. If you find the perfect venue but it's out of your price range, shop around and find out what the competition is offering. Talk to the venue and be honest about your budget, see if you can remove some of the trimmings and DIY it. The best way around making the most of what your budget can offer, is to talk to your vendors.

A fabulous local Shropshire venue is Delbury Hall, their packages are fantastic and the location perfect...

{Tea and Roses}

I am a firm believer in cupcakes and all things tea and crockery related. When I stumbled across Tea and Roses, a Shropshire based crockery and accessories hire company, I was elated. Their vintage ethic is perfect and their prices fabulous. What better way to celebrate in style than with vintage settings?

A bit about Tea and Roses....

"Tea & Roses began life in the heart of the beautiful Shropshire countryside. We are based on a family farm and our business is run from our 300 year old timber framed farmhouse.
Our name is inspired by the constant use of the rose over the centuries in many of our English crockery designs. Our collection includes many pretty floral designs from the 1800s onwards. From delicate Victorian blush roses, hand painted Art Deco daisies to bold bright 1960s roses, a feast of designs. Makers names include, Wedgwood, Clarice Cliff, Royal Doulton, Paragon, Royal Albert and Tuscan Ware to name but a few.
Tea and Roses was created by Deborah Meredith who has always had a passion for vintage design and ceramics. Having trained in Art and Design and Conservation and Restoration she decided to share her passion and creative skills with others."

Here are just a few of my favourite of their pieces. They're certainly one to bookmark!

{Julieann Beads}

When it comes to bridal jewellery and accessories, you have to be confident in the knowledge that they will shimmer and shine accordingly. In terms of accessories and jewellery, I am yet to find a bespoke crafts person in Shropshire to top Julieann of Julieann Beads. Her collections are such that they can be perfectly mixed and matched to be tailored to your needs.

"Julieann Beads are a design led, family business based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Founded in 2005, our unique and distinctive wirework jewellery features handmade glass beads, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and gemstones sourced from around the world."

This are just a few of my many favourites of Julieann beads...

{Shades of Purple Inspiration}

Ooh! What gorgeous colours to inspire a fabulous day. Purples do not have to be a homage to Eyore the suicidal donkey. Instead they can be beautifully understated.

This is just a tiny selection of local and international inspiration with regards to this colour....

Wonderful Paper Goods

Photobucket

Fabulous paper goods can really enhance a table, and how sweet are these gorgeous tags, tie them to glasses, beer bottles, ooh how fabulous. These designs are by the fabulous Amaretto who describes her work as:

I am a thirtysomething crafter and I love the use of paper, card, ribbon, ink, stamps etc. My favorite things are tags. I am always trying to rustle up new ideas for them and hope that you love them as much as I have enjoyed making them. I use high quality materials so you can always be sure of quality. All my tags are set at the same price, making it easier for you, the buyer.

My shop also has plenty of supplies for your paper crafting needs. Plus the odd handmade card, card sets and other bits and bobs.

Brides and Bridesmaids Jewellery

What better way to thank the girls supporting your day, than to gift them little unique hand made local designs?

Bbel is a London based silversmith who designs and creates utterly beautiful pieces of jewellery. She describes her work as follows:
{I love quirky, unique style and I try to bring this to my jewellery designs.I took a course in silversmithing with the amazing Lindsey Mann. I take inspiration from the natural world, from popular culture and bring symbolism into my work, reminiscent of ancient jewellery artefacts that were always shrouded in magic and meaning.I style each piece so it sits just right - the necklace should hang to accentuate the shape and hollows of the neckline, the earrings should glint just enough to draw attention to the jawline and rings should be statement pieces to make you feel like you're as special and unique as each handcrafted piece of jewellery I make.I love style and romance, glamour and quirkiness, quality over quantity and promise that each piece I make will reflect this. }

Bridesmaids Gifts

On your special day, the girls going through more stress than you will certainly be your bridesmaids, they will be doing everything in their powers to keep things moving smoothly. From running errands to helping you navigate the toilet!

Why not thank them with some gorgeously crafted local pieces? Louy Magroos is a wonderful Solihull based jewellery designer.

Her personal bio:
My name is Louy and I’ve recently graduated with a first from a BA honours degree in Jewellery and Silversmithing, and I am now working from a tiny workshop at home, which is small but my favourite place to be.

Everything you find in my shop is dreamed up by me, designed by me, handmade by me and more importantly loved by me! I take great pride in what I do and will always go over and beyond to make sure my wonderful customers have something they cherish it as much as I do.

I mainly do commissions for my customers, I’ve had many unusual requests for a special piece especially designed to suit their needs, so however daft don’t hesitate to convo me. In fact the strangest ones usually turn out the best!
