{Table Settings: Classic White}

It's important to have an idea in your head before you speak to your planner or if you're going for {DIY} you need to have a range of ideas at the ready. When it comes to table settings, you should always have a play with options. You need to step back and get an idea of a table scape. Know what you are trying to achieve from it, are you going for a focus on the food? Do you want to minimise height so that guests can chat freely? Outline a list of options and work with it.

These are just a few of my classic white table setting inspirations....

{Yana Photography}

Like I describe in an earlier article {here}, when it comes to your wedding day you only have one shot at it. That is why I find that so much importance lies upon finding your perfect photographer. They will go through everything with you throughout your day and it is vital that you establish a relationship and keep a good level of honesty with each other.

Looking through Yana Photography's galleries I am astounded by the fantastic quality of her work.

A little bit about Yana...
"Yana is a classically trained photoartist and a member of British Institute of Professional Photographers. Yana's quality of work has been appreciated by clients from around the world.
APPROACH. My photographic approach is a reflection of my personality – I am an observer with a keen eye for detail. Through my photography I see the essence of beauty, style, elegance; and an importance of the right moment. I will discuss with you before your wedding day, how we can create natural, full of emotions images of you with no lengthy posing and very little effort on your part. You can enjoy the excitement of the day secure in your knowledge that your wedding day will be recorded in the most elegant style without interruptions."
These are just a few of my favourite of her images, for more head on over to her website {here}

{RWM Photography}

When It comes to capturing your special day whether it be your wedding day or your fabulous event, you need a great photographer to shadow your every move. One of my favourite Shropshire based photographers is Rob May, and I would highly recommend his high quality eye for detail.

{Rob W May is....}

A Professional Wedding, Event and Portrait photographer, I have recently moved to Shropshire from Cardiff, hoping to grow my business. Having started out in the world of gig photography, covering everything from burlesque nights to classical concerts, by way of punk and dubstep gigs, I soon expanded out into Weddings and Portraits. My style is one of bold and strong images, working with shadows as much as lights, one that has lent itself to the alternative wedding scene as much as the mainstream, allowing me to cover biker and rockabilly weddings as much as the traditonal British wedding. In additon to the weddings, I also love to shoot large events, a passion that has lead to me to shoot for Severn Hospice, covering their Midnight Walks, Great Big Bike Rides and their  upcoming Fright Night. With a brand new base in Shropshire, I am looking to build upon my experience, growing the portraits and commercial side of my photography as well as expanding my Wedding work.

Brides and Bridesmaids Jewellery

What better way to thank the girls supporting your day, than to gift them little unique hand made local designs?

Bbel is a London based silversmith who designs and creates utterly beautiful pieces of jewellery. She describes her work as follows:
{I love quirky, unique style and I try to bring this to my jewellery designs.I took a course in silversmithing with the amazing Lindsey Mann. I take inspiration from the natural world, from popular culture and bring symbolism into my work, reminiscent of ancient jewellery artefacts that were always shrouded in magic and meaning.I style each piece so it sits just right - the necklace should hang to accentuate the shape and hollows of the neckline, the earrings should glint just enough to draw attention to the jawline and rings should be statement pieces to make you feel like you're as special and unique as each handcrafted piece of jewellery I make.I love style and romance, glamour and quirkiness, quality over quantity and promise that each piece I make will reflect this. }

Bridesmaids Gifts

On your special day, the girls going through more stress than you will certainly be your bridesmaids, they will be doing everything in their powers to keep things moving smoothly. From running errands to helping you navigate the toilet!

Why not thank them with some gorgeously crafted local pieces? Louy Magroos is a wonderful Solihull based jewellery designer.

Her personal bio:
My name is Louy and I’ve recently graduated with a first from a BA honours degree in Jewellery and Silversmithing, and I am now working from a tiny workshop at home, which is small but my favourite place to be.

Everything you find in my shop is dreamed up by me, designed by me, handmade by me and more importantly loved by me! I take great pride in what I do and will always go over and beyond to make sure my wonderful customers have something they cherish it as much as I do.

I mainly do commissions for my customers, I’ve had many unusual requests for a special piece especially designed to suit their needs, so however daft don’t hesitate to convo me. In fact the strangest ones usually turn out the best!

DIY Wedding Hydration

Who said Water Bottles have to be industrial?

Throughout your special day, you're non stop and it's easy to dehydrate. Instead of tacky Evian bottles scattered, pop on down to a local cash and carry, buy up a hundred 500ml bottles of water, remove the tags. Nip down to a haberdashery {such as Watson and Thornton in Shrewsbury} and buy up twenty meters of 3inch wide lace ribbon. Wrap it around and hot glue and a spot together, better yet, pin it with a little ribbon rose or charm.

{A dusty take on classic white}

It's a nice day for a white wedding right? Well not necessarily, especially looking at dusty coloured dresses like the one below....

For a refreshing take on rings and accessories, Steam Punk is one of my favourite types of design and perfectly compliment subtle gentle dresses. The ring below is designed and hand made by the fabulous designers Daniel Proulx based in Canada.

A Merry Magpie

Typically my Momma hosts a big dinner every week or second week. She is fantastic at sourcing items for a variety of events, from Moroccan china, to antique picnic sets, she has a stock for each theme.

Unless you are thorough and keep sources for great items, checking them weekly, it can be incredibly difficult to source great vintage items for perfect vintage parties. This is where The Merry Magpie and her fabulous shop come in perfectly handy.

Old acid bottles {make sure you clean them meticulously} make for utterly perfect decanters, try offering a guest vodka in a bottle etched "Sulphuric Acid" Utterly eclectic and a perfect talking point.

Tiny little deer like these lovelies are a  perfect centrepiece or better yet, collect a few and they can be table names for a large reception party.

When throwing a shin dig event, a huge fear is always guests getting bored. So having little {toys} to keep them amused work perfectly, give a table of adults a blackboard and chalk and they're lost for hours.
