Monday

{Delbury Hall}

When choosing a location for your event or wedding, it is important for you to shop around. If you find the perfect venue but it's out of your price range, shop around and find out what the competition is offering. Talk to the venue and be honest about your budget, see if you can remove some of the trimmings and DIY it. The best way around making the most of what your budget can offer, is to talk to your vendors.

A fabulous local Shropshire venue is Delbury Hall, their packages are fantastic and the location perfect...

{Table Settings: Classic White}

It's important to have an idea in your head before you speak to your planner or if you're going for {DIY} you need to have a range of ideas at the ready. When it comes to table settings, you should always have a play with options. You need to step back and get an idea of a table scape. Know what you are trying to achieve from it, are you going for a focus on the food? Do you want to minimise height so that guests can chat freely? Outline a list of options and work with it.

These are just a few of my classic white table setting inspirations....

{She Bridal}

It is hard for me to recommend anyone more fabulous than the lovely Angie Mac of She Bridal in Ironbridge Shropshire. If you are on the hunt for your perfect wedding dress, you have to give her a call and make an appointment to head on over to her gorgeous shop. Her items are all sourced within the UK, and the quality is superb.

{DIY}

A great way to keep costs down when planning your wedding or event, is to DIY it. I'm not talking pritt stick and some tubs of glitter, I'm talking stylish and utterly simple ideas that make a huge impact. As long as you are organised and have a willing and able team, you can achieve alot for a small budget. These are just a few of my favourite simple DIY's {click image for source}

Sunday

{Inspiration}

Mmm.... what says lazy sunday more than some gorgeous inspiration.

On your special day, make your photographer work for you. If you want some gorgeous shots like the one below, give them a heads up in advance and check with your venue as to whether a background can be set up. It's a fabulous way to get around unfortunate weather. Your photographer should always have a boot load of props, open frames, big chunky letters, blackboards, check in advance and don't be afraid to bug them. If you're looking for fabulous and recommended photographers, have a peep at some of those featured on the lower left of this page.

{Fabulous Summer Outfit Ideas}

The wonderful thing about summer weddings is the lack of layers and freedom to wear soft breezy silks and chiffons.

Muted tones and mixtures of textures scream relaxed elegance.

{Yana Photography}

Like I describe in an earlier article {here}, when it comes to your wedding day you only have one shot at it. That is why I find that so much importance lies upon finding your perfect photographer. They will go through everything with you throughout your day and it is vital that you establish a relationship and keep a good level of honesty with each other.

Looking through Yana Photography's galleries I am astounded by the fantastic quality of her work.

A little bit about Yana...
"Yana is a classically trained photoartist and a member of British Institute of Professional Photographers. Yana's quality of work has been appreciated by clients from around the world.
APPROACH. My photographic approach is a reflection of my personality – I am an observer with a keen eye for detail. Through my photography I see the essence of beauty, style, elegance; and an importance of the right moment. I will discuss with you before your wedding day, how we can create natural, full of emotions images of you with no lengthy posing and very little effort on your part. You can enjoy the excitement of the day secure in your knowledge that your wedding day will be recorded in the most elegant style without interruptions."
These are just a few of my favourite of her images, for more head on over to her website {here}

{Beat the winter blues}

With winter looming, I think we all need some escapism... How's this for a perfect date location? I'd love to do an engagement shoot like this, or even something like this for a birthday. Beech, beer, perfect soundtrack, what a perfect event idea. {Click image for source}
