{Table Settings: Classic White}

It's important to have an idea in your head before you speak to your planner or if you're going for {DIY} you need to have a range of ideas at the ready. When it comes to table settings, you should always have a play with options. You need to step back and get an idea of a table scape. Know what you are trying to achieve from it, are you going for a focus on the food? Do you want to minimise height so that guests can chat freely? Outline a list of options and work with it.

These are just a few of my classic white table setting inspirations....

{Gorgeous Setting}

Oh my, I think I've found potentially the most gorgeous table setting... Antique china and Macaroons? I think so.

The key when setting a table, or planning a table setting is to focus on one piece, whether it be the centrepiece, or the crockery, the glasswear, or the guests, the key with elaborate style is to keep it simple.

If you want to try your hand at making your own macaroons {this} is a recipe I've tried and tested.

A Merry Magpie

Typically my Momma hosts a big dinner every week or second week. She is fantastic at sourcing items for a variety of events, from Moroccan china, to antique picnic sets, she has a stock for each theme.

Unless you are thorough and keep sources for great items, checking them weekly, it can be incredibly difficult to source great vintage items for perfect vintage parties. This is where The Merry Magpie and her fabulous shop come in perfectly handy.

Old acid bottles {make sure you clean them meticulously} make for utterly perfect decanters, try offering a guest vodka in a bottle etched "Sulphuric Acid" Utterly eclectic and a perfect talking point.

Tiny little deer like these lovelies are a  perfect centrepiece or better yet, collect a few and they can be table names for a large reception party.

When throwing a shin dig event, a huge fear is always guests getting bored. So having little {toys} to keep them amused work perfectly, give a table of adults a blackboard and chalk and they're lost for hours.
